I went in for a recall with my civic and they performed a service check up without my request. They found a leak in the crank shaft seal which they tried charging me almost $300 for. I knew this should be covered under the powertrain warranty and they said it wasn’t. I called over to smart Honda to verify and they said it should be under warranty too. I first emailed about a car and was told it was pending pickup by a sales associate. Three days later I kept seeing the car pop up when doing searches of cars available in the area. I decided to email Alyssa Marzen and ask if it was available, which it was. She was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the process. I came in on a Saturday and within 4 hours I was in a new car. She was great to work with.

Went to get service done to my car and left with a new car instead. Thomas Powell approached me and honestly I was not planning on buying a mew car. After negotiation, numbers made sense to me and we moved forward, in about 3 hours everything was done. He was very honest, we didn't feel pressure at all, at the end of the day number were better than we thought and the transaction made sense. The salesman I worked with was Nguyen Le. He was knowledgeable and very fair. Glad we went to him! The car I wanted wasn't in stock but he worked to get me the vehicle I wanted. He was very helpful in explaining the process to getting the vehicle from another dealership and made it happen! One of the easiest car buying experiences I have had. We recently purchased a 2022 Honda Ridgeline from Honda of Altoona - Scott Karnowski was our sales person and he was tremendous. We enjoyed the low pressure environment (we test drove at several other dealers and it was not a great experience). We had Bridgestone tires go bad on our newly purchased van from this dealership. The vehicle did have regular maintenance. We had to purchase new tires under Brisgestone warranty claim at a local Tires Plus. However, the service manager at Honda of Altoona, IA worked in the background with Honda company and the dealership manager. The service manager was able to offer servicing our tires and a reimbursement for our portion of tire purchase to make our situation whole. This restored our faith in Honda Altoona, IA
Nice place! Nice people! Went to look at a used vehicle and ended up leasing a new CRV. Salesman worked hard for me! On the other hand, he was a newer employee and didn't know everything about leasing. But overall, he was a VERY nice fella, putting up with me as I am hard sell! Wing is still learning and will be an awesome young salesman! Hopefully, the service side will be just as good as I bought a service contract at the same time for the duration of the lease. I cant remember who all helped me but in June of 2024 I needed a new car, I found one listed online at Honda of Altoona and by the weekend I was driving it. They have a very nice building that is clean and welcoming to all. Their service department is top notch as well, providing a very clear and easy way for you to make sure you're not overcharged and the maintenance you need gets done.

I get my maintenance and oil changes done at this location. One time they made a mistake and weren't able to get my oil change complete during a drop off. They made it up to me and I'll happily come back.

Jacob made the process so easy! Out with my old Jeep. In with a CRV. Very quick which was needed because I was only in the area a few days. Checked in several times after the sale and was a great touch asking before mailing documents (I live in a state that got hit by a hurricane).
Purchased an HR-V last weekend and the process was smooth and pleasant. No 'pressure tactics' or uncomfortable conversations. Our salesman, Tom, really knew his stuff and took the time to explain what was going on when we did need to wait, and also how to link up my phone to the car. I had an overall amazing experience as a first time buyer! Yeimi was my sales specialist and helped me with everything and found a way to hold my vehicle for me while I have a crazy schedule along with my mom’s schedule!
